  • District Nursing, bandaging, wound care, phlebotomy, catheter care, assessments

  • I have learnt the knowledge to become a supervisor and developed on existing skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed university life, getting together with others on the same course, work with each other towards assignments, feed off each other with ideas and solutions

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was well organised at Solent and was well supported by university staff.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was very supportive and allowed me time off my work place to study and go on placements

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There was always an opportunity to get support, even though in the 2nd year it was not face to face due to Covid.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have gained so much more knowledge which will enable me to perform to the best of my ability. I have grown as a person and feel more confident.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, but they are limited at the moment and often held on Teams. Virgin Pulse is used every year which enables us to challenge each other with activities, ie step counts

  • 9a. Would you recommend NHS to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have worked for the NHS for over 10 years, it is a great organisation to work for, I have received support through bereavement and through my training.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
  • Research the position you are applying for, pop in for an informal visit to get a feel for the position your applying for. Be open and honest.
