  • As a general assistant I complete jobs such as stock replenishment, date checking and sometimes picking. As a team leader I can have jobs such as doing paperwork, answering the phone, dealing with customer feedback and accommodating to staff and customers.

  • I have learnt new skills such as delegating tasks, empowering but also challenging staff and learning to communicate with a team. As existing skills, I have Developed my team work and communication

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. It’s been a great opportunity for me to develop and improve my skills. I find it very friendly and a great way to learn new things.

  • My programme is very structured and organised. We have allocated times for our meetings and stick with time frames for each area of the programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my employer I receive a great a amount of support. We have dedicated times every week where we will sit and go through the sections of the programme to help my understanding.

  • I recieve a lot of support from my training provider. They allow me to to work independently but also offer me the support if I need it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps me to perform better in my role because it gives me a much better understanding of what I can do better in my role.

  • We have a talking shop rep who can can plan some fundraising events that me, and other staff, can get involved in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great company with great ethics and core values. As for my store in particular, it’s a great environment to be in.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • My tips would be to do a little bit of research about the company ahead of any interviews to allow you to be a standout individual
