  • Connecting with customers via phone taking bookings and answering requests. Managing financial systems such as Aztec to create reports and manage daily cash management. Taking orders and making the guest experience positive.

  • Developed on my financial and cash management skills. Have developed leadership styles and used them within mentoring purposes with new colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The layout was very good online. System was easy to navigate and the information was displayed nicely. I did switch trainers 3 times and felt like that set me back each time as I had to come up with a new “plan of action”.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very nicely organised nice layout of online independent learning followed by business project and exams. Online learning was structured well however the modules could have flowed better within sections.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots of support was given by greeneking; all the resources I needed were given as well as time for meetings. Time was always taken to sign off any paperwork and I was never left waiting on them

  • Lots of support given any questions I had were always answered any new topics I needed confirmation on would be made a priority and I had lots of clear instructions when dealing with my business project

  • I have developed new skills such as management theories that I can combine to optimise my leadership style and have done indepth research for my business project on marketing that I can now use to my advantage when planning another event/fundraiser

  • Yes

  • Great company who always put staff first good support and advancement opportunities within the franchise as a whole and within specific pubs


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Be flexible and always prepared for any eventuality. Use brand standards in day to day work to make it a good place for customers and staff alike
