  • The Programme is very structured! We have one day of University a week and the rest we are in work as usual. At the start of the Programme, we has 12 well structured weeks to help us (the Apprentices) get settled in to life at Barclays, this 12 weeks was really useful.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Barclays has tones of sports teams!!! It is fair to say that where I work (Radbroke), is just like a university campus because of how much goes on there. They have lots of sports teams and they also have lots of none sports related clubs too! Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 I haven't been able to join any of these yet as I haven't been to the campus since I started working there but in the future I will defiantly be joining one!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • When Applying for Barclays: 1. Be confident, don't seem shy! Make sure you show them your personality, it is a big part of Barclays. 2. In your interview ask questions about Barclays!! If you do this, it will show that you are really interested in the company and you want to be there and that you are already planning on being there. 3. BE YOURSELF! Barclays is all about inclusivity, show your personality in your interview! If they ask you a question that gives you the opportunity to tell a funny story that taught you something, tell it and then tell them what this experience taught you!
