  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have greatly enjoyed my apprenticeship since I have started it. This is because the people who I work amongst have always been friendly and willing to provide help whenever it is needed. Furthermore, I am able to gain advice from experienced personnel and it is a great thing to be able to learn from people who have been doing the job for a long time.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship has been very well organised and structured and going through the pandemic has helped to prove that as we have been able to carry on learning and gaining experience throughout safely. There has always been a set plan of how we will carry out our learning whilst also being able to be flexible.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We gain a lot of support from our training provider. If we are struggling with a unit which we are completing they will provide extra sessions if we need it. Furthermore, they allow the learning to go at our speed as much as possible so nothing is rushed and they have a high pass rate.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • What we learn through our training provider helps me to preform better whilst in my role at work as it allows me to have a deeper understanding of the processes which happen on site. Furthermore, it allows me to understand the chemical processes that take place and the danger which come with them.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work we have a sports and social club where frequently we have events that take place such as going to the races or going to the theatre. This has even continued throughout the pandemic but online through Microsoft teams, which has involved quizzes and a place to chat to keep in contact.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Solenis to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend a friend to work at Solenis as working here is like working within a big family. Everyone is extremely friendly and will always jump at the opportunity to help one an other. Furthermore, there is a sense of belonging with working here and you can see how your efforts help the process.

  • The tips I would give to others which are looking to apply to Solenis is to be yourself and work hard towards the apprenticeship. The best thing to do is to be open and honest and never be afraid to ask for help and support others how you would wish to be supported.
