  • I manage the Network Automation for the Labs, which also includes configuring CICD to run automatic tests on scripts. I also work with networking hardware to ensure efficient configuration and that it is working correctly.

  • I have developed a number of skills, primarily when working on automation. For example, utilizing Python to produce efficient automation scripts.

  • I thoroughly enjoy the program, being able to network with professionals along with learning vast amounts on the job ensure me to progress at a staggering rate.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program has elements of structure and organization, however in regards to degree work it can be confusing and often needs reclarification. Furthermore, deadlines can be unclear, or not explained thorough enough.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I do have a fair amount of support from my employer, especially in regards to the future path that I want to take. My role can be tailored to what I want to do.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When working towards qualifications, my training provider provides a good amount of support when it comes to grades. For example, workshop sessions with tutors and quarterly reviews.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As a network engineer, being able to complete the Cisco CCNA has helped me massively in my networking role, as it has allowed me to learn the fundamentals.

  • There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to work on when at work, such as social gatherings, and places where apprentices can setup events.

  • Yes

  • I believe that it is one of the most advanced yet well tailored apprenticeship around, where you are made to feel welcome and assisted where needed.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
  • Make the most of the opportunity, as lots can be learnt on the job when working with professionals.
