  • My day to day is customer based on the counter(20%) and telephone sales(80%). My main role is to be the first point of contact for customers.

  • Yes, on the Apprenticeship I was advised to take part in branch to expand my knowledge as well as learn the ways from experienced colleagues. We discussed how to effectively serve which I then put to the test.

  • I enjoyed the different ways in which I improved my learning. i also enjoyed working with my tutor as she was a great help.

  • I believe the fact that it is mainly coursework was very beneficial as I could do it in-branch around my work day. The only negative was I had to travel for the first few months into london.

  • I now have evidence to back up myself which adds to my confidence when serving/on the phone.

  • Yes there are such as Bike races/courses as well as our charity days.

  • Yes

  • Because they provide help and feedback when asked. They are happy for me when I learn new things and encourage me to continue.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Travis Perkins Plc?
  • Be confident & Don't be scared even though it is a Male orientated workplace women seem to brighten it up. Also the Apprenticeship scheme was enjoyable and gave me further qualifications.
