  • Pre Covid-19 my job consisted of all duties required by a receptionist. Now, a lot of the shift involves cleaning; but it is all for the greater good.

  • I have gain a lot of knowledge on my apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I look forward to my monthly remote meeting with my Tutor, as I enjoy gaining knowledge, and also I am reminded of how much I know and how much I have learnt. I am now used to meetings done remotely, however at the beginning I found this alien to me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I find the programme suits me. Each section flows from one to another, and they are the right size for a monthly subject, when your studying is done over and above your normal workload.

  • All my training is supplied by my Tutor.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not only have I been given the tools and the knowledge to assist me in attaining my qualification; I am also given a lot of encouragement, which boosts to my confidence.

  • I am aware of the why things are done, and also I am aware of when a difference could me made, to improve the end result.

  • None.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Whitbread to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Currently work is off-kilter due to Covid-19, but under normal circumstances it is overall a good place to work. The job roles are varied, there is always a chance for promotion if you want it and there are many establishments to choose from.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • It's a Company that is going places, and has many opportunities for you to get on, if you want to get on.
