  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are lots of networks to join and each other them have mailing list but they also hold meetings and you can be as involved as you like. My department and team also have coffee breaks every week and they also have a 'drinks trolly' that happens over zoom. these have been really good for networking.

  • 9a. Would you recommend abrdn to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Standard life Aberdeen as both experiences i have had have been overwhelmingly positive. All staff are so nice and there is lots of support in and out of your team. There are so many extras like the networks and the online training courses on my development. overall i have just really enjoyed working here.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to abrdn?
  • Be confident, i was extremely nervous going through the process of the interviews and group interviews but as long as you prepare and are feeling. acting confident in your abilitys that will show. Prepare- this is a big thing, you want to be organised for all the interviews so make sure you read any information available and set out questions to ask.
