  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am involved in a variety of different projects in the talent acquisition team focusing on all of the different areas of recruitment. My day-to-day responsibilities involve setting up and engaging in planning meetings, driving work on event pages or presentations and other aspects of significant recruitment projects.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot about interview skills, through an internal training course, and how to construct a comfortable interview process. I have also developed my engagement and planning skills within projects and continue to do so. I am studying for level 5 in HR Management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The teams are very inclusive and encourage new, exciting ideas. I really enjoy the company culture which values being entrepreneurial, doing the right thing and putting our patients first.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My course is well structured and the teams I work in are very accommodating allowing for weekly study days around work. I also have regular catch-ups with internal mentors and external tutors.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Frequent check ins and updates have meant that I have never struggled settling into my role. My line manager and mentor have always allowed me to come to them for support at any time.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have weekly check-ins with a tutor from my training provider who helps me greatly with my assignments.

  • My qualification has helped me understanding business practices better and contribute positively to discussions.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • A variety of social activities often appear on my calendar which we are always encouraged to get involved with. They allow for great networking opportunities and also help alleviate some of the pressures of the day.

  • Yes

  • There are a variety of roles to get involved with and no matter what you're doing it always feels like you're contributing to a great cause.

  • Do initial research going into the assessment day and interview process but also express an interest to grow and develop at the company.
