Talent Acquisition Apprentice Review

I am involved in a variety of different projects in the talent acquisition team focusing on all of the different areas of recruitment. My day-to-day responsibilities involve setting up and engaging in planning meetings, driving work on event pages or presentations and other aspects of significant recruitment projects.

I have learnt a lot about interview skills, through an internal training course, and how to construct a comfortable interview process. I have also developed my engagement and planning skills within projects and continue to do so. I am studying for level 5 in HR Management.

The teams are very inclusive and encourage new, exciting ideas. I really enjoy the company culture which values being entrepreneurial, doing the right thing and putting our patients first.

My course is well structured and the teams I work in are very accommodating allowing for weekly study days around work. I also have regular catch-ups with internal mentors and external tutors.

Frequent check ins and updates have meant that I have never struggled settling into my role. My line manager and mentor have always allowed me to come to them for support at any time.

I have weekly check-ins with a tutor from my training provider who helps me greatly with my assignments.

My qualification has helped me understanding business practices better and contribute positively to discussions.

A variety of social activities often appear on my calendar which we are always encouraged to get involved with. They allow for great networking opportunities and also help alleviate some of the pressures of the day.
