  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes i have The apprenticeship has helped me to understand the project lifecycle and has allowed me to bevome more organised. I am used to the EON way but putting a proper methodology behind this and governance has really helped in y structure. It has also helped in things which i haven't done before such as a go/no-go

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Haven't enjoyed this due to the lack of support from Babington. My tutor from Babington seem to be late sending documents and working books so i always felt behind. He also left without telling me and I had no idea when my exam was or what I should be doing. I still dont have a tutor

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I'd say it's not. My tutor was all over the place. It hasn't felt very structured at all. The workshops online were OK but not the best and not as interactive as they should be. Other tutors were better then others but I still don't have a tutor.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is great and i do get support from them. The problem is with several hgih risk migrations going on, it's super hard to get the time during working hours to progress my apprenticeship. I try to do it at weekends or evenings which can be challenging

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not a lot. I feel really unsupported at the moment. I had to reach out to another tutor who's workshop i was once on and only because I had his email address. He helped me a bit but i still dont have a tutor and i was still so lost.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives me the structure and organisation. I've learnt a lot about how a project should be and i know i have the right documentation available to me. I also feel that the APM book which i purchased helped me a lot. I dont feel that i get valuable feedback on my tasks though - it's always it's ok.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are. It's difficult because of covid at the moment, but there are still coffee mornings virtually, social events on a Friday. I attended an escape room last week whcich was good. There are networking events but these haven't happened since covid but they do usually happen every few months

  • 9a. Would you recommend E.ON to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I enjoy working at E.ON and i feel like they really help develop. My roles have been around service delivery/project management so when i asked for further development an apprenticeship was recommended to me and this really has helped. They took no hesitation in this and for that i am thankful

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • Be yourself and be fun and engaging. It's such a diverse company but it's complicated. Be ready and willing to learn. You'll enter into a world of abbreviations but they will all start to make sense one day/ Energy is so complicated so every day is a learning day and that's what amkes it exciting!!
