  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme greatly, there has been external challenges due to working from home. However, VWFS has continued to make me feel connected to my colleagues and form productive relationships. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The on-the-job element of my apprenticeship has been structured in an efficient and supportive way. Despite learning a new role remotely I am aware o the colleagues I can reach out to for help, this was especially needed in the primary stages. The off-the-job training had a few challenges to begin with regarding administrative problems, these were all resolved quickly to get me back on track.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive regular meetings with a progress manager as a point of contact to discuss recent projects, lessons and upcoming exams. This has been particularly important to iron out any concerns before they become issues. Often I am in a small class of students for online lessons, this has me to ask the tutor to focus in on topics I am less confident in.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The online sessions have given me the knowledge I need to contribute effectively to discussions in the workplace and get more involved with decision making.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Due to the current pandemic this has not been possible. However I have heard of multiple 'pre-covid' social activities that do take place. I look forward to getting involved.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Volkswagen Financial Services to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Due to combination of all my previous answers. I have had a great experience so far and I look forward to where my apprenticeship will take me.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Volkswagen Financial Services?
  • Be honest about what you do and don't know. You're not supposed to know all of the answers, that's the point of an apprenticeship. It is more about being transparent and showing an interest in learning.
