  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to essentially provide support for any member of the School of Anthropology through email support or in person support depending on what the issue is. On a day to day basis it would include checking through the ticket system we have and seeing if there is any sort of support i can offer such has helping repair a printer or helping diagnose a laptop/PC

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a few skills. The main one being that i have improved my confidence in talking to new people as i used to always be quite shy when meeting new people and now i enjoy doing so. I have also matured as working in a place like Oxford you need to be very polite and well behaved.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it very much as the university look after me very well and offer me a lot of help and assistance in a variety of things and with Basingstoke ITEC they helped me alot with assisting with my coursework which i have now completed and have got it all signed off. But it has been a great learning curve for me to understand how the real world of work works.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was very well structured and it was all online so it was very easy to find all the work i needed to do. The person from Basingstoke who helped me was very good at explaining what i needed to do and structuring exactly what units needed to be done when and how.

  • I received a lot of support when completing my qualifications as i always felt like there was someone there to ask for help if i needed it.
