  • I make sure that all the production on plant is running smoothly.

  • I’ve learnt skills regarding how to run a production plant and how to make sure it’s all okay. I’ve also developed my social skills due to me working as a team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it a lot. Everyone who I work with is helpful and friendly. The whole programme is interesting and I’ve loved all the time I’ve been there.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised. From college units and NVQ and also tasks to do at work, it’s all been set up professionally and I’m very impressed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support when I need it. They always make sure that I understand everything and help me with any college work I’m struggling with.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support when I need it. If I am really struggling with something, my company makes sure I get extra revision material to make sure I understand the work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps because I learn about all the methods of how the production plant is run. We also learn about things to do with Heath and safety which is useful aswell.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do have social networking meet ups every so often. This is mainly so all the apprentices can meet up and help each other out etc.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Solenis to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are really good company. Not just work wise, but with the apprenticeship and also with the community and more.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Solenis?
  • Make sure that you try you’re hardest and make sure that you have an interest at working at a chemical plant.
