  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role includes pulling data from various data portals, looking at sales and promotions and analyzing them. I have to update the promotions sales data every time there is a new promotion. Then I conduct analysis on the performance on it and build a deck on it which I then can report to the team. I also get adhoc tasks to do analysis on different things such as different markets, different platforms, different titles and so on.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my Excel skills by quite a lot. I was able to learn different functions within the Excel, different formulas, shortcuts, how to build dashboards and learned different tools to help me analyze data within the spreadsheet. I have learned how to navigate around PowerBI. I am currently also learning how to build a model within PowerBI which will eventually lead to saving me a lot of my time and my teams time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It is been very lovely since I have joined. The Whitehat coaches are very helpful and will try and provide as much support as you need. The programme is very engaging and interesting. I have had bootcamps which are very informative and taught me a lot of stuff the most recent one went over about SQL and Tableau. Considering I have never had experience in any of them, I left the bootcamp pretty confident in both of those topics.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured quite well. It is very clear what module I am currently learning about and what I will be learning about in the future. It also goes from easy to more difficult modules so you feel like you are easing in the programme rather than being dumped into it. One thing I disliked is maybe how much time we spent in the beginning learning about very basic stuff, I felt I was already ready to learn about the more complicated topics.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received all the support that I have asked for. I have struggled sometimes in certain situations and I was always able to reach out and ask for support. Whenever I have reached out I have gotten a lot of advice on how to manage different problems and sometimes directed to places where I can get further support. There are also a lot of in things in place to support you through different situations so you never feel left alone.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I haven't really struggled when it comes to the programme so I haven't really reached out for support from my training provider, but I feel like if I were to ask for support I would definitely get what I need. Otherwise they are pretty supportive in terms of, they always ask if you need anything, you have frequent calls to talk about your progress and if there is anything to do to improve and if so how.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like my training provider has done pretty well to help me perform better in my role. For example recently I have learned how to make professional dashboards within the excel which I haven't learned in the workplace. So now I am able to implement excel dashboards in my role which makes me look better within the team and also provides better results as it is more interactive and professional than just normal tabs with basic charts.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a lot of extra-curricular activities to get involved in my work. There are plenty of charity activities, there are different marketing events that you get invited to, for example we were invited to Mortal Kombat 11 Launch Day event which was really fun and gave us the opportunity to meet new people. Also we get to go to the cinema which is inside the office building, whenever there is a new movie that came out from WB.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WarnerMedia to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend it because the experience I have gained from working at Warner Brothers has been huge. I have gained so much of valuable experience in many things that I feel will be very helpful to me in the future especially when I will be applying for jobs. I would also recommend it because I have had a lot of fun working here and was able to meet a lot of new people and make new friends.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • The advice I would give is firstly make sure you have a very solid CV as that is a very important part of the application. Once you get to the interview just make sure you are being yourself and confident. Talk to people around you especially the interviewers if you get the chance, try and put yourself out there. I would also try and do fake interviews at home with a family member or a friend to practice questions to help you in the real thing.
