  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves coordinating volunteer and charity initiatives across WarnerMedia internationally. • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This is my second apprenticeship with WarnerMedia so my skills portfolio has undoubtedly grown. I have learned so much industry knowledge about all areas of the business and learned key skills such as emotional intelligence, excel skills, how to write an email and many more. WarnerMedia provides training sessions and department talks to ensure we maximise all possible learning opportunities.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Despite the difficulties of beginning my degree apprenticeship online, My course is well structured, and I get given regular coursework and have the opportunity to speak to my tutors if I need assistance. I get every Friday off to attend lectures and work on my degree. This works perfectly for me as it allows me to concentrate on my work. This is vital as my course is very demanding with a large workload.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support from WarnerMedia is more than I could ever ask for! They regularly check-in and I cannot be more thankful for my manager's support. We are a small team of three, so having a Friday off for my degree can be difficult, but they completely support my learning and are always interested in how they can help ad support me further.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a quarterly catch-up with my mentor, and also have the opportunity to attend group sessions on a Friday to share any issues and ask questions. Despite the initial uncertainty due to starting my degree remotely and there being a lack of communication, they have improved massivly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • So far, I have really enjoyed doing my Business Management Degree Apprenticeship. One of our modules is on CSR so it has been great to learn more about my role and feedback to my team on what I have learned. The course has helped me develop my writing skills and helped me step outside my comfort zone through group presentations which are key to my role especially when communicating with partners.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The apprenticeship is only what you make of it! There is a large cohort of apprentices so there are lots of opportunities to socialise. Through the Business Resource Groups, you can also get involved in a variety of events and network with people from across the business. You just need to sign up, get involved and put yourself out there!
