  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the work that i have been getting involved with. i feel that from the start of each placement i have been tasked to complete real projects that will have a positive effect on the business rather than just being given stuff to keep me busy.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I thought it has been organised very well considering all the changes and challenges due to covid. When ever there has been a big development that has changed the structure of the scheme we have been notified in full as soon as its been confirmed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The level of support whilst on the scheme has been really good. whoever i have gone to for support on projects, bids or other pieces of work, have gotten back to me really quickly and provided as much help as possible. this includes the talent management team, operations teams, commercial teams, HR, Business development and exec level senior management.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The management qualification has fed in really nicely with a previous apprenticeship level qualification i have in facilities management. This second course has allowed me to build on a lot of existing knowledge and form a much more well rounded understanding of the different elements.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

  • 9a. Would you recommend Equans to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel that ENGIE are really keen to invest in young talent and help them to raise quickly along their chosen career pathway. in addition, if you are unsure of the career path way to take, the grad scheme and apprenticeship schemes are a great way to get some really good experience in several different areas of the business. This experience will give you a good idea of what your interests or talents are.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans?
  • Be as proactive as possible, use your managers as a guide as to what work needs completing but try and run with your own ideas on how to deliver as much as possible. if you run into difficulties that try and find the right contact within the business to reach out to rather than always going back to your manager.
