1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Trainee Client Service Advisor. Assisting Clients with renewal and day to day queries they may have.

Cert CII (IF1 and M92) Internal Foundation Training

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is hard work, there is plently to be getting on with on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Although the programme is testing, the rewards for achieving good results throughout the programme are high.

4. How valued do you feel by Aon?

Aon are greatly supportive and have been fantastic to work for. Everyone makes you feel valued and you are seen as an asset to the company.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The qualification aspect of the programme has been very well organised. The Brathay Challenge is a great addition to the scheme and will be greatly beneficial to all of the apprentices on the programme competing in it.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

The support from Skills Solutions has been brilliant. They have guided us through our CII exams and been willing to assist us with any queries we may have.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Aon are fully supportive of the apprenticeship, this is throughout the organisation from the board to my direct line manager. The Early Careers Team have done a fantastic job with the scheme and provide support as and when it is required.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

The salary exceed the apprenticeship minimum and would be perfect for those fresh from school who are in their first job! Having a flat of my own and other responsibilities, the pay doesnt stretch as far as I would like.

9. Would you recommend Aon to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

The scheme has been the best thing I coul dhave done since dropping out of university. You are able to develop in the work environment whilst also gaining professional qualifications. There are a substantial number of opportunities within the scheme and the chance to work in a whole host of diferent regions and parts of the business. The scheme in my opinion is the best in the insurance sector and Aon are the leaders for apprenticeships within this sector.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?

The application process can be strenous, however the company are looking for the best people for the job. Arrive prepared and try your best and if you are suited the company will chosse you. The opportunities, work, collegues and qualifications side of the scheme are all fantastic and time and effort you spend applying to aon will all be worthwhile should you become a member of the team!
