  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • I was part of Insight Week with Mace Group. Everything started with a great introduction into firm's functions and how spread is Mace around the world. This year Spring Insight week took place online and run in August, was only 3 days instead of 5 as it would be in normal conditions. I have to mention this happened due to Covid-19. The trainers from Mace made everything possible to offer a real experience. I found interesting how they presented the site using virtual reality and how engaging the whole scheme was. We were given presentations from different departments and on different topics such as sustainability and how does impact the profitability in the long run. We were placed in private chat rooms and split in teams and have had creative tasks to solve and present our ideas. It was really interactive, fun and stimulating. I would highly recommend this scheme for those students who are interested in Construction industry and even the consultancy and advisory side of it.

I also found out why sustainability and new technology is so important in constructions. From group work, I built up on team working, communication and presentation skills.
