Work Experience student Review

The insight week involved a number of presentations of the different roles within the company, networking sessions and both group and individual tasks. Overall the week was very interactive, interesting and provided a great insight into the operations and culture at Mace.

Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Each presenter was engaging and interesting. I felt I came away from the week with a lot more knowledge on the construction industry which has boosted my confidence to apply for future roles.

Considering the work experience had to be virtual due to covid, it was extremely well organised. It was evident that a lot of time had been put into making the sessions run as smoothly as possible and making sure we got the most out of the week.

Each presenter gave a different perspective into the company culture but overall it is clear that the working environment at Mace is friendly and sociable. The employees appear to love working there and it's definitely a company I can see myself working for in the future.

At the end of each day of presentations there was a networking session where we would split into smaller groups to speak with the presenters. This was a great opportunity to ask questions that we may not have had a chance to ask during the presentations and were able to have a more personal interaction with employees a Mace.

After the experience, it is clear Mace is a company that truly values its people. Every employee had great things to say about the company culture and the graduate scheme was highly recommended by past graduates.
