  • I’m an apprentice mechanic. This involves training on the job to repair light automotive vehicles whilst completing workshop maintenance and helping colleagues

  • I’ve learnt a lot since starting the course. I’ve progressed to where I can repair a vehicle alone and carry out services alone

  • The program I enjoy. That I feel there could be more presentations presented to explain in more detail on certain subjects

  • It’s well organised. Though it could be managed better with work being provided more regularly

  • My employer gives me as much support is possible. Though they can’t help much with courses or work from home to benefit college

  • I receive as much support as possible. Though I’ve jumped into a level 3 course with out any previous experience and I could have done with more support with extra work to complete at home from college

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Mostly the qualification doesn’t match with the kind of work we do at work and with my lack of experience I struggle to connect the two together. That from what I’ve learnt at college I’m able to understand how things operate more at work. And the reason certain parts are used

  • Yes

  • They are a very hardworking welcoming company they would do all they could to help as long as the employee proves to be willing to learn and work hard

  • That be honest, genuine and work hard They rest will come in time
