I’m an apprentice mechanic. This involves training on the job to repair light automotive vehicles whilst completing workshop maintenance and helping colleagues
I’ve learnt a lot since starting the course. I’ve progressed to where I can repair a vehicle alone and carry out services alone
The program I enjoy. That I feel there could be more presentations presented to explain in more detail on certain subjects
It’s well organised. Though it could be managed better with work being provided more regularly
My employer gives me as much support is possible. Though they can’t help much with courses or work from home to benefit college
I receive as much support as possible. Though I’ve jumped into a level 3 course with out any previous experience and I could have done with more support with extra work to complete at home from college
Mostly the qualification doesn’t match with the kind of work we do at work and with my lack of experience I struggle to connect the two together. That from what I’ve learnt at college I’m able to understand how things operate more at work. And the reason certain parts are used
No nothing
Yes
They are a very hardworking welcoming company they would do all they could to help as long as the employee proves to be willing to learn and work hard
That be honest, genuine and work hard They rest will come in time
