  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I look after any sales customers, these come from leads, phone or walk ins. When they come into the dealership I go through the full car buying process. Once they have bought the vehicle I make sure the vehicle is prepped to Audi Approved used standards. I then ensure the customer has signed all the relevant documentation and that the finance is set up. We then arrange a day that suits me and the customer for them to collect their vehicle

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot about how the sales process works. I have also learnt how being organised can help a lot, an example of this is having cars booked onto the relevant systems so that we are able to have the vehicle ready on time. I have also learnt a lot about the products we sell, I hope to do the Audi sport course within the next year so that learn even more about or S and RS products

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is definitely a necessary course, I believe it will help me to get management positions in the future. I have learnt a lot doing this course, including quite a lot about my companies policy’s and procedures. The programme also helps me track all of the additional learning that I do on a regular basis, I believe this will help to show my managers that in my personal time I have been keeping busy learning.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has a clear structure which is very easy to follow. I find that [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is very knowledgeable and up is able to tell me very clearly exactly what I need to do. He explains which workbooks and courses I need to do and in which order, this means that I don’t get overwhelmed with the workload. We always book our sessions a month in advance which means I am given plenty of time to complete my work and have it back to him

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive and gives me anything that I need so that I have plenty of opportunity to do the work required. The managers at my dealership encourage me to get all of my work done as well as possible this is because they agree that the course is very important for my career. My managers within the dealership have said this course will help when applying for higher positions in the future.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like a get a lot of support from the training team, they help me with anything questions that I may have. As an example of this, during my time in furlough i had a call from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who is one of the trainers. He phoned me due to [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] being furlough to ensure I was doing okay and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions that I may have had for him.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • By having this extra training it gives me that extra motivation when I come to work, I know that by doing this qualification I have a better opportunity to go by the management route. Speaking with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] also gives me a different perspective, due to him being in the motor trade for a number of years he understands the daily issues I come across. He is able to give me advice that maybe my managers hadn’t thought of

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there is, I have been running on several occasions with my manager and one of my colleagues. I am also very interested in football as is a few of my colleagues, prior to the lockdown we had a sales team football game. There is also a JCT600 football tournament every year which hopefully we are able to enter later on this year. This is where each dealership makes a team and plays against each other.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Audi to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have always liked Audi’s, I’ve always been very interested in all German vehicles due to being born near to where Audi originated. I like the styling and reliability of all of vehicles, they are easily some of the best looking vehicles in the world. Our performance vehicle selection and our track vehicles are incredible quick and handle very nicely. Our Quattro system is in my opinion the best 4 wheel drive syste, available.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Audi?
  • I would recommend applying as soon as you can, working for Audi has changed my life in a very good way. Audi is a company that promotes from within, if you show ability and dedication then you are guaranteed to be well looked after in terms of your career. I started at 19 years of age as trainee and I am now a fully trained Sales executive. I’d say the faster you can start the better
