  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My structure is becoming more organised as I develop my skills using the learning tools available to me. I am learning to set aside tasks at certain times of the day when opportunities arrive for me to concentrate on the work needed. Being organised is something that you need to develop strongly. • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive in my role to help me develop within this industry, understanding that i need to set time aside to complete the tasks that are needed of me. I have very good quality on going training, often involving staying away and attending training centres with other colleagues within the industry. This is very uplifting and you come away from the training with a buzz about what you have learnt and look forward to putting this to use.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training advisor is very professional and very friendly. Always available to answer any questions that I have and there to help with any issues. During my assessments he will run through the details with me explaining what he expects from me and how to go ahead to achieve the desired levels that they expect. I feel the support I receive is very good and it is great to have this ongoing support available for me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualifications through my training advisor help me to perform a better role because it helps give me the confidence, support and professionalism to complete my job to the best of my ability. Without this help there would easily be mistakes and it would not make the employee be an asset to the future. It is important for everyone to work together as a team so a customer will have confidence in the advisor but also the brand.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are professional networking events that we can attend. I went with my colleagues to Germany a few months ago. We attended meetings and we experienced our brands factory. We were able to see the whole development from start to finish and there were loads of workshops to attend which got us all involved as a team, this was great fun as well as informative. keeping us up to date with future developments was very inspiring.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Volkswagen Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would always recommend the Volkswagen group top a friend because they are a privately owned franchise motor firm that is long established (since 1946) they pride themselves in that their ambition is to be THE BEST PLACE TO WORK. They have a benefits programme available to everyone and includes competitive salaries with bonus plans and 22 days holidays rising to 30, along with a life assurance plan. They offer ongoing training and look after their staff, which the recent COVID19 showed.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Volkswagen Group?
  • I would recommend to apply to the Volkswagen group with your CV and accompanying cover letter explaining why you would like to work for the company and what strengths you can offer to the company. A passion for the brand and a confident approach is needed but the company are very approachable and are appreciative of people coming from different backgrounds and different work experiences and they offer the ongoing training to develop your skills within the group.
