  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed in service delivery, ensuring that a reflective approach is entailed in whatever i do. Recording and applying functional, numerical skills gained during the training Period. I do also greatly have understanding and a wider appreciation of the behaviour features not only learnt of the profession; caring, competence, communication, etc but also experienced the learnt objectives. Changing tutorial skills during the period enables me compare the delivery of colleagues too. Hence some tutors where more enthusiatic in guiding me during the period as do some colleagues in building experience.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It was a mixed baggage of some moments of enthusiasm and some frustrating ones. During those moment when the Tutorial staff supported me significantly, i was motivated and felt like not wanting the training to come to an end while when the support was less so, I barely can understand if it was not a waiste of time and resource taking the training. While the positive over weigh the negative moments, the negative almost frustacted the continuity of training but for the benefit of acquired skills which were afterall comforting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course was well organised judging from the supporting reading materials that most facilitators provided. One finds a structured learning outcomes, slides with examples of case senario. Glancing through those notes could benefit much after the presentations. The added advantage of questioning during and after tutorial via email, builds a smooth working relationship that is motivating. Based on individual level of understanding the site, one can easily log in and complete task and sign as complete.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My Employer have in the first place introduced me to the courses availability during performance review. Signing me up was also greatly appreciated. Better still, there is the understanding between managment and staff where in flexibility exist for managers to allow you time to have your training days uninterupted by rescheduling your work days. Futhermore, we are paid for each hour we spend doing the training to compensate for time lost doing private matters. The employers also provide meeting rooms for training when facilitators book in time.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider started very well but we were unfortunate to have lost lots of facilitators which disrupted our flow of following up instructions materials, style and this dampened enthusiasm at a point. However, all instructors did tremendously irrespective of whether they stayed long or short period. Worth mentioning was the excellent instructing done by most facilitators and plus exceptional patience exibited by the last facilitator who single handedly re-evaluated what we have done and assessed our competence towards end point assessment. Her role was fantasatic and enable me build confidence right from the time she took up the task to the moment of final exams. Interestingly, she succeeded in motivating not only me but all my colleagues all of whom once opted to bow out now contemplating completion.
