  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I look after bring in the money owed by our customers for the LCV region of Motus commercials. this involves making phone calls and send emails detailing the amount of money owed to us. I also deal with any queries raised by our customers. I also help out allocating up visa payments and internal transfers. I also look after and keep upto date our warranty accounts ensuring we have invoiced for all warranty claims and these are matched up to funds we receive and allocated off

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a number of different skills and developed existing skills- I have developed skills such as listening and communicating with colleagues and suppliers. I have develop my team working stills as my current role requires me to work long side a number of colleagues to get my day to day responsibilities complete. I have also gain confidence as I have gain new knowledge whilst on my course which I have been able to put into place whilst in work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my programs as I am able to meet new people who are in similar roles to myself but do different roles throughout the day which I am able to learn about. It has also I am also enjoying doing my course as it is providing my with the skills and knowledge needed to further my in the career I want to take, and given me the skills to move roles within the company already.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very organised, the leader always supply's all the materials we need to complete our units such as workbooks, presentations, questions and mock exams which help us with out learning. Our units are well set out so we know what we are learning and when and even when we haven't be able to be in a classroom environment they have supplied us with all the equipment needed and found ways get still carry on with the course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support I have received from my employer has varied. They allow me the time out each month to attend the classes and exams. Whilst also giving my time for one to one meetings with Mandy/Rhonda when needed and some revision time on the run up to exams. The support from my manager hasn't always been great but in recent times under a new manager they have also ensured I have everything I need and if need help would be there, they have also been happy to ask questions about the course and taken an interest.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is always support there from the training provider is I need it. The Learning Skills partnership have provide us with both a tutor who is doing the teaching and she has always provided us with everything we need to complete the course and is there if we need anything extra. They also provide us with a mentor who is there to help us complete all the other areas as well as any work issues.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification is helping me in my role as it is providing me with the knowledge and understanding to complete my day to day tasks as well as giving me an extra insight to other areas of the business. It is also providing me with a qualification which will let me progress further in the company when a role becomes available. It is also allowing me to get involved with tasks that aren't within my role but is helping me put into place what I have learnt into my day to day role

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There isn't alot of extra-curricular activities within work but on occasion we do go out within our teams or as a department for an evening, this could be team building such as days out or activities such as bowling but this is mostly organised by us and paid by us. We do have a yearly night out paid for by the company for completing year end and for Christmas which is open to the who company.

  • 9a. Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a lovely employer to work for and there is the opportunity to move around in the business so even though you might not be in a role you want to be in you have the opportunity to move around. They also put on apprenticeship and pay for colleagues to complete course to help them progress
