  • I deliver training and learning through coaching to learners on apprenticeships along with delivering staff development programmes.

  • Management of people skills have been learnt along with operational and project management further developed.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the different modules and the style of delivery was enjoyable as a mix of classroom, online and self study.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was very structured and planned sessions were known in advance to allow for diary management and self study and access to platforms could be fitted round the remaining time each week and month.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Fully supported by my employer with time and appropriate IT resources allocated to ensure that course could be taken and classroom sessions attended during normal working hours.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Tutor was available online, through emails, telephone and could be contacted out of hours and during normal working week, aside to the planned sessions, visits were made to workplace and discussions held to monitor progress with employer and self. I felt fully supported by the Training Provider.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has allowed me to be a better Manager of both people and systems. I understand stakeholder management along with project and strategic management and this allows me to be a more informed and proactive employee in terms of support of operational plans and my input to the success of the company I work for.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, my company hold Bi-annual staff team building events, we have weekly quizzes and we regularly take part in sponsored events for charity - 3 Peaks Walk, MacMillan Coffee Morning etc. I network with Awarding Bodies, fellow Tutors/IQA on Facebook and AELP.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Learning Skills Partnership to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They took into account previous learning and experience, the sessions were very well planned and could be accessed locally to me. Resources and Tutor were of a high standard, relevant and fully supported the programme being studied.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Learning Skills Partnership?
  • Do not presume they only deliver in Yorkshire/Humber area, as they deliver across the whole of England. They operate roll on programmes that are not fixed to term times etc. Discuss all your needs and they will support you to establish study skills and ensure that materials and resources suit you as an individual.
