I am a programme manager responsible for 7 tutors, i monitor learner engagements and remote delivery, allocate new learners, resolve any complaints.
Yes i am constantly developing in my role, this is a new role for me previously acting as an IQA i have now moved into this role which is developing me further. I have learnt how to run projects, interviews, carry out one to ones, resolve grievances. I am also developing my communication and facilitation skills constantly.
I enjoy it as the resources are of high quality. My tutor is a specialist in the sector and supports all of my learning needs. It is building my confidence and i enjoy learning new elements daily.
Very, i have a clear plan on what i need to complete and achieve each month. Visits are booked in advance so i have clear SMART targets. I have access to resources 24/7 and all assessments are delivered in a confident manner.
Lots, my manager ensures i have time to complete my OTJ learning and asks me for updates on the progress i have made. They also take part in my reviews and ensure i have all the resources i need to progress.
I have endless support from my training provider, the platforms are detailed and easy to use. I have access to my tutor when needed. I receive emails and texts messages checking on my welfare. My questions are always answered quickly.
I think it helps build my confidence and extends my thought process, rather than completing a tasks it has helped me understand the background behind the task and why it is needed. It has also shown me different approaches i can take.
There is a weekly team quiz i can attend, we get involved in charity bakes, bike riding and mountain climbing.
