  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a programme manager responsible for 7 tutors, i monitor learner engagements and remote delivery, allocate new learners, resolve any complaints.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes i am constantly developing in my role, this is a new role for me previously acting as an IQA i have now moved into this role which is developing me further. I have learnt how to run projects, interviews, carry out one to ones, resolve grievances. I am also developing my communication and facilitation skills constantly.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it as the resources are of high quality. My tutor is a specialist in the sector and supports all of my learning needs. It is building my confidence and i enjoy learning new elements daily.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very, i have a clear plan on what i need to complete and achieve each month. Visits are booked in advance so i have clear SMART targets. I have access to resources 24/7 and all assessments are delivered in a confident manner.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots, my manager ensures i have time to complete my OTJ learning and asks me for updates on the progress i have made. They also take part in my reviews and ensure i have all the resources i need to progress.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have endless support from my training provider, the platforms are detailed and easy to use. I have access to my tutor when needed. I receive emails and texts messages checking on my welfare. My questions are always answered quickly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it helps build my confidence and extends my thought process, rather than completing a tasks it has helped me understand the background behind the task and why it is needed. It has also shown me different approaches i can take.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a weekly team quiz i can attend, we get involved in charity bakes, bike riding and mountain climbing.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • LSP are friendly, passionate and driven. They are learner focused and ensure that the welfare of their staff is paramount. I have received great support from my employer and my career has been developed. I feel valued.

  • Demonstrate your personality, be relatable, passionate about something. Demonstrate flexibility and also a drive to succeed.
