  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently looking at my own individual leadership and capability, I have found the different types of Management techniques very informative and both the programme and my tutor have helped me look at alternative ways in which I could address and manage certain challenges that I may face day to day. My tutor has helped me to draw on not just recent experiences but past ones as well. This has been most helpful.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Although I have found parts of the programme challenging my tutor is very helpful and reassuring to me. I am enjoying the self study part of the apprenticeship because it challenges me to read, research and investigate areas of business that I would not have done if not for this apprenticeship. It is giving me a real opportunity to reflect and analysis how I currently conduct/ work in the business. I am so pleased that I took this step to embrace a new challenge and I look forward to completing and learning new sections.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive, they show a really genuine interest in my progression and what I have learned to date. They are more than happy to allow me time out to complete certain elements of the apprenticeship and they are willing to provide me with any information that I may require to assist in my learning.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support from Learning Skills Partnership has been incredible. Right from the start when I was enrolling onto the apprenticeship the Office was very helpful and supportive, nothing seems to much trouble. Due to 'Covid' my tutor reviews and meetings are conducted remotely which I enjoy and look forward to. I do feel that Rhonda really cares about my development and she has a great way of engaging me into thinking of alternative ways of doing things.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As an example; my tutor, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], helps me draw on my past and current real experiences at work, through discussion and with the use of the apprenticeship training material I/ we can look at how best to deal with the certain challenge or task. I enjoy this approach to my learning and development and find that what I have learnt is easier to put into practice within my day to day routine. Learning Skills Partnership and the programme have helped me to understand my own current management style and how others may respond to it, this has been very informative and there are certain areas I am looking to develop further, ultimately helping me and my team perform better in the future.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have regular Quarterly meetings (currently remotely, Covid) led by the Directors it involves the entire company and initially covers all things business, thereafter we generally have an activity, 'day at the races' and an evening meal. We have regular team building days where all colleagues get together and face different tasks, the last one being a take on the TV show 'The Apprentice', which was fabulous fun. During this strange time (Covid), my company holds weekly remote 'Teams' quizzes Friday afternoon, where the whole company is invited, the winner of the quiz is the developer of the following weeks quiz and so on.. We attend networking events as a matter of course through our day to day job role.
