I am the Operations Director of a National Training Provider, that delivers Apprenticeship. I manage a team of about 15 remote workers, who form part of the quality / delivery team. I look at learner numbers, completions, starts and the learner experience. I get involved with the day to day running of LSP, Including financial decision.
I would say that i have been focusing and understanding more about finance, due to Covid 19, which has pushed me more into that area. Also changing the way i manage my team, as it has become more of a remote leadership that face to face.
I am enjoying learning about different leadership styles, which is supporting me with managing remote teams better.
I think at my level, i like the way it is about my own guided learning. I have support when i need it. I like online learners, as I can do it at my own pace.
I am fully supported by my employer, who is keen that i progress within the organisation and with my Apprenticeship.
The amount of support is just right for me, i am working through an online knowledge programme, which is suitable for me learning style. My tutor is always there when i need her.
The qualification suits my roles, and allows me to go into areas that i might not have had the opportunity to do so. The qualification pushed me to explore other parts of the business, which i am enjoying.
We have a work quiz every Friday afternoon and social coffee mornings. I attend external events (online at the moment). Our work does a lot of charity events, which involves the whole organisation.
