  • Manage and develop the workforce of staff and volunteers, advising on HR, Data Protection and Safeguarding matters as part of the wider Management Team.

  • I have learnt a lot of project management theory, problem solving and wider business awareness

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I feel the programme is really well tailored to my role in HR. It supports the day to day function whilst also developing skills and behaviours to add value across the business.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure is really clear and manageable even with a full time role. Expectations are clear at the start of each leaning phase and provides lots of opportunities to research and explore relevant subjects and topics.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is extra supportive, offering guidance, mentoring and sufficient time to complete study as needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My TDO is very approachable offering relevant and practical guidance and support across all aspects of learning. I feel I am encouraged to solve problems and come up with relevant solutions. My TDO is great at building professional confidence and is very inspirational as a mentor.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Working towards the qualification helps me consider a range of consequences from any potential decisions made within the HR team. Previously I would have looked at my role and team but now i have the confidence to make suggestions and challenge wider thought processes that are shown at work. I feel much more confident.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work we have courses from indutry professionals that we can attend. We also have guest speakers on topical subjects.
