  • My role involves speaking to customers over the phone helping with varying things from giving a balance to making large payments to reviewing statements and everything in between

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my skills in customer service and speaking with people of all ages. I have also regained my knowledge of excel and working with different spreadsheets to track customer feedback.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme as it can be different day to day but wish there were more opportunities to go to different departments.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured well but they expect the chartered banker to be completed at the same time as the apprenticeship which is not easy.

  • The support i receive from my employer is great.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from both my BPP advisor and my managers. They help with answering questions and also best practices for the programme.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my qualification gives me a lot of background information that helps with my role and gives me good opportunities to get other roles too.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • They have currently been stopped because of COVID but i am sure they will continue.

  • Yes

  • Nice friendly environment and all of the staff and managers are very nice

  • Be yourself and take all of the opportunities you can and you will have a great career with RBS
