  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • A very supportive organisation who drive and push development and training for all employees, including trainees and apprentices.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a variety of skills since completing my Level 3 apprenticeship and being in a working environment such as key employability and transferable skills (communication, teamwork, time management). Working alongside other professionals has also helped to build my confidence and learn from others who have experience in the field.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am currently completing my Level 5 Human Resources qualification, so far i have found this very interesting and look forward to developing my knowledge and skills to be able to use this in my role and the workplace.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is fairly organised however rather than have one or two workshops every month, i think i would find it more beneficial being weekly.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive both in and outside the workplace. TB+A push and help individuals to achieve their professional qualifications and encourage CPD’s.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Acacia are supportive, however compared to my previous provider i feel as though there are not enough resources such as a VLE or student portal.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I do feel the qualification i am currently completing is helping me in my role as i am gaining a lot more in-depth knowledge. As well as this, the other individuals on my course are in a similar role so we are able to exchange experiences.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a lot of social events and client networking events which most people get involved with, we also have a lot of charity and fundraising events which gives people the opportunity to do something they enjoy and raise awareness.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Troup Bywaters + Anders to a friend?
  • Yes

  • Excellent experience, great apprenticeship scheme and overall a great employer.
