Reviewing and measuring installed progress on a site. Completing take off's for variations on drawings. Attending daily progress meetings. Detailing contemporaneous records of extra dayworks completed by subcontractors and marking applications for payment
Increased use of IT skills such as Excel and Word. Measurement of materials and procurement of goods. Completion of domestic subcontracts for jobs. Estimating drawing costs and applying it to install on sites.
The enjoyment comes in spells and depends heavily on how busy work is. Often it comes in large peaks followed by weeks of quietness however this is just due to the nature of construction. When too quiet or extremely busy work is not enjoyable yet for the majority of the time i look forwards to it
The programme has assigned mentors and allocated time to study. It is well supported and will have quarterly check ups to see what is being achieved or what targets are missed
I receive for me the perfect amount of support. where it is not too constant but enough to not feel forgotten about.
Initially training was slow however it has been largely increasing over the past few months and more training has been provided
It provides a complementary mix as both areas of physical work and theoretical work can be co-dependent on one another as either by themselves would become two dimensional and damage potential increases
There are often social activities however they are reserved for special occasions or milestones for other employees.
Yes
it has a strong internal core. the sites are entirely built around everyone functioning together it isnt an environment where you will ever feel like you are by yourself.
Do not try oversell yourself or convince youre required present honestly and be truthful as often things you would see are negatives people will see them as positives to change about you
