  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is in UK Sales Operations where I mainly provide support to Sales Colleagues on our CRM system and give insights of the data within the system to allow effective forecasting and to keep a close eye on the data quality and efficiency of the data. Alongside my day job, I am training with QA for a Level 4 Data Analysis program.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a large variety of skills during my time here at Fujitsu. Alongside the variety of skills I have learnt with my apprenticeship program, I have been able to use most of these within my day to day job which allows me to think about how I can use these to succeed as I progress with my career.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find my programme very enjoyable and I have grown to be very passionate my ongoing progress during completing the programme. The team I sit in are great to work with and we collaborate very well. Fujitsu are also very inclusive and take diversity and inclusion very seriously. I believe it is very important to feel included and to be yourself within your work, and Fujitsu makes me feel extremely comfortable to do this.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My provider QA provide a structured programme and I am fully aware of deadlines and the time I need to dedicate to the programme learning/coursework. We are required to fill in time sheets to ensure we are reaching the time required to spend on the learning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive loads of support from Fujitsu and my team. My manager understands the importance of my apprenticeship scheme and provides support and materials as much as they can. Fujitsu also offer pluralsight licenses, which is extremely useful for me when learning how to use tools and the coding languages alongside them (such as SQL and Python).

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • QA provide each learner with a 'Skills Coach' which acts as a tutor. I am able to contact my skills coach for any materials or support that I require following courses that we do, coursework, and any general issues I may be having within my role.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The learning I am doing within my programme has already helped me perform better within my role. I have been able to use the theory I have learnt and implement the learning into new and effective tools. One of our aims as a team is to start using more automation rather than manual processes. I have now started doing this, and I have strong hopes for how I can increase our usage of these techniques when I have completed the programme.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Fujitsu have a team within HR that group Graduates and Apprentices up to a cohort which they call 'Junior Talent'. As we are all new to business roles, they organise events to help us with introducing us to Fujitsu and also to give us support of how businesses in general work. This allows us to travel to other office locations and meet over 150 other individuals from across Europe and the UK. Fujitsu have also done fun runs and other sport activities for charity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fujitsu have encouraged that these events are done over zoom and that teams meet up virtually at least once a week to do events like quizzes and games, which helps with our well being during these difficult times.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Fujitsu are an overall great organisation to work for. They provide a huge variety of opportunities and treat their employees extremely well. The training providers are also carefully considered and Fujitsu are committed to how important my apprenticeship programme is for my own career development.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
  • The interview process can feel intimidating at the start due to there being a few more steps than you would usually have. It's important to express what you can offer, show that you have a clear understanding and passion of the role you will be perusing, and to also be yourself. Fujitsu offer many opportunities, so it's important to take all the experience you can get from them and make use of the tools and people around you.
