Providing reports and analysis work to other stakeholders within the company.
During my apprenticeship, I have developed my IT skills and my networking skills. These skills been improved while on the job and at various training days that young career employees at HPE participate in. I'm also studying towards AAT level 3 and the training I receive for this is provided by an external training company.
My program is very engaging, I get given the opportunity to get involved in different projects which keeps my work varied. There is also a large number of other apprentices, interns and graduates which makes the experience more enjoyable.
My apprenticeship is 2 years long. In these two years, I am taking AAT level 3 and building up my experience within the workplace. At work, my manager gives me new tasks regularly so that I'm learning and improving constantly. The early careers department organize training days in order to help improve your soft skills.
I receive help in regards to my work from the other finance employees and my manager. The early careers department help support you in building your confidence and networking skills. You are also given a mentor who is an apprentice but one of the older ones. They can answer any questions that you may have that aren't aimed at your specific department .
Babington provide a tutor for you that can answer any questions you may have about the course. You also receives text books for each topic in your course to help you study and Babington run online lectures each month for each chapter. These lectures vary from 2 hours to 2.5 hours.
Many of the topics that I do within my studies translate to work I do at HPE. In doing my qualification it does give me a better understanding of financial work I do at HPE.
The early careers department are always organizing projects and events to help you meet other young careers people. Within your teams, you have social activities and networking events. Early on in my apprenticeship, the finance team went to the office in Poland as a lot of the people we work with are based in Poland.

Your are given responsibilities from the first day and there are many activities and events outside of your day to day work that you can get involved in to better yourself.
Research the industry that HPE operate in and bring that knowledge into your interview. Learn about the competitors of HPE and external factors within the last few years that have affected the company.
