  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is trainee store manager, so my day consists of getting my jobs done whilst making sure others are doing their jobs and making sure the store runs whilst dealing with any problems that may occur through out the day, making sure that dates, avalability, general closing of the store has been done and answering manager calls throughout the day and then in the morning working delivery when it arrives in to store in the morning

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes when I first started at the job I knew nothing about running a store because my last job was a bit different so along the way I have learnt how to manage my time to assure I can get everything done on time and just managing other people aswell also learnt how to deal with customers and the way you should go about problems when customers have a complaint to make, also with my colleagues how to deal with situations they have within work

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the people I work with that helps a lot so I really enjoy it but there are time when it gets tough but it’s just one of them things we deal with and having a good team helps because we all work together when there is problems occurring, the store I work at aswell is in a nice located area and the other managers are really enjoyable to work with on a daily basis

  • Because I think the programs they run is a really well structured it looked to be the best apprenticeships when I was applying for different jobs

  • Work hard and enjoy the programme
