1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an audit assistant I visit client sites almost everyday and complete onsite fieldwork. When we are not onsite we are in the office completing the audit or beginning the planning of a new client.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained a huge amount of confidence since joining RSM. Not only do I feel more confident speaking with my colleagues I am able to speak directly with clients.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying my programme. It is very well organised and I am able to speak to RSM when I have any issues. The other members are always happy to help me with any questions I have.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

RSM are always willing to support me especially with everything that is going on at the minute. As all exams were cancelled for a period of time it meant I had to move them. My manager has allowed me to pick any date for these.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

At the beginning of my training I felt it was quite disorganised but as time has gone on it has improved massively. I am now able to ask my BPP representative anything and she is always willing to help.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think my qualification has helped me a huge amount in my role. I have a greater understanding of the different concepts.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of social activities we can be involved in. Training courses have been a great way to meet new people from other offices.

9a. Would you recommend RSM to a friend?

9b. Why?

It's very organised and easy to follow. There is always help if you need it and you learn a lot whilst gaining a huge amount of work experience.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSM?

Be confident and ask questions. Don't be worried before starting as there is always someone to help and nothing is expected of you that you wouldn't be able to manage.
