  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As an audit assistant I visit client sites almost everyday and complete onsite fieldwork. When we are not onsite we are in the office completing the audit or beginning the planning of a new client.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained a huge amount of confidence since joining RSM. Not only do I feel more confident speaking with my colleagues I am able to speak directly with clients.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying my programme. It is very well organised and I am able to speak to RSM when I have any issues. The other members are always happy to help me with any questions I have.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • RSM are always willing to support me especially with everything that is going on at the minute. As all exams were cancelled for a period of time it meant I had to move them. My manager has allowed me to pick any date for these.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • At the beginning of my training I felt it was quite disorganised but as time has gone on it has improved massively. I am now able to ask my BPP representative anything and she is always willing to help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my qualification has helped me a huge amount in my role. I have a greater understanding of the different concepts.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of social activities we can be involved in. Training courses have been a great way to meet new people from other offices.

  • 9a. Would you recommend RSM to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It's very organised and easy to follow. There is always help if you need it and you learn a lot whilst gaining a huge amount of work experience.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSM?
  • Be confident and ask questions. Don't be worried before starting as there is always someone to help and nothing is expected of you that you wouldn't be able to manage.
