Motor vehicle apprentice based at plant Oxford - based at various placements in and out of the plant gaining knowledge on production processes as well diagnosing faults and rectifying them.

Too many to count and my knowledge is still expanding along with experience

Love my job love what I’m going in to

More than one port of call I can count on 10/10

Plenty of support via various methods of communication along with a constant stream of information that helps with gaining the qualifications needed to pass

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification is highly regarded and would therefore gain trust and boost my esteem once qualified, I can work independently without the constant checks

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, charity based event that involves group activities. 5 peak challenge involves climbing 5 of the highest peaks in the uk in 5 days and sponsored walks first spring to mind, there are a few more activities such as this on offer

9a. Would you recommend BMW Group to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Pay rise every 6 months until qualified, access to car scheme from day one which includes insurance. Going into an industry with a bright career to progress in, many other opportunities to reap from the training

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?

Be on the ball and don’t rest on your laurels, I had to jump through many hoops to get where I am. It’s very easy to get out but very difficult to get in, appreciate what you have.
