  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My Role includes answering calls on a day to day basis to people who have broken down, so I am able to help them I also take payments for those customers who may not have the correct entitlements at that current point in time so i would then upgrade their membership there and then to include the correct entitlements they need.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt some new skills with my time here I have gained good people skills which is important to have in this job I feel I have also gained life skills within this company that I can use later on in life when dealing with different people, i also feel i have gained good knowledge from this company in regards to the many different problems that can occur with a vehicle.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme to the extent of that I would really enjoy a permanent job at the end of the programme because I enjoy the atmosphere it has to offer as well as the people i work with alongside, plus i enjoy the fact i'm helping people who are in difficult situations and the fact when I've helped them there mind is at ease and are very thankful.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well organised and structured because once a week there is a guaranteed day we're able to do our apprenticeship work and some maths and English if were entitled to take it, its also structured well because i have meetings with my manager every month so she can check in on me to see how i'm getting on, how i'm finding things in the job and just all in all to see if i'm ok which i do appreciate massively.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive an outstanding amount of support from my employer they are very supportive and couldn't be any supportive if they tried, they provide training for areas we may not be the strongest in they also provide feedback on mistake we may have made on a call we are also have supportive members of our team dedicated to us in case of any questions we may have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a lot of support from the training provider he is always in the office on my training days so if we get stuck at all with any of the work that's been set by him we can just pop over and ask him if he's able to help us out so that we understand it and then can move on to other work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the qualification helps me perform better in my role because it learns me how to deal with certain situations that i may not have been able to figure out on my own before, it also gives me the confidence to deal with things using my own initiative instead of relying on others and other resources around me.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there is extra curricular activities we are able to get involved in there is a football team we are able to join if we wish to, there also social nights out that they may arrange for the different shifts such as the Christmas parties at the end of the year to celebrate all the work that's been done.

  • Yes

  • i would recommend the AA to a friend because of the great service they provide as well as the atmosphere we provide in the office is amazing everyone is nice and friendly plus the hours are flexible here which is a good thing to have as a business plus it's a feel good job because you feel good for the fact you have helped others who needed it.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
  • The advice i would give to someone applying is to be yourself and confident because in the job role you need to be confident with what you say with awkward customers, plus everyone here is friendly and always willing to help so you're not alone i'd also say that they would enjoy it here because of the different activities you're able to do around the site
