  • Getting to grasp with the everyday working life at EY. I became familiar with the everyday technology they used and learned how to complete tax returns

  • I learned general presentation skills and problem solving skills as a whole throughout the experience. I also learned about tax returns and how to deal with clients

  • To a large extent. It was very interesting and it was good to get an insight into everyday working life at EY.

  • I would say it was quite organised, however there was a couple of problems like getting access to softwares and getting the technology required ect

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learned a lot about the company culture and believe I got a real insight into what it would be like working at EY. I thought it was good to shadow an employee that had been in my situation before.

  • I was already quite certain on my career path but my work experience has solidified this, as I revived an offer for an apprenticeship.

  • Yes I was paid and lunch was provided.

  • 8. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
  • Yes lots. I got to meet loads of people in the business, from partners, to people in the same situation as me, on work experience. I also got to meet people on a Skype call from around the UK.

  • 9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I personally liked the effective use of technology and the plans to be paperless. I always felt welcome and it was a friendly working environment as a whole.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • I would tell others applying to EY, to just be themselves and not to panic during any stage. I would also tell them to remain patient as the application process is quite lengthy.
