My role within my work place at KPMG has a range of business tasks such as the following: Post, booking trains/hotels and flights on the electronic system, rearranging filing systems and managing databases. The main system that we use is called Job Track that is used for to outline and list jobs for our team to pick up tasks and complete within the time limit given by the person allocating the job. This enables clients to focus on their business aims and not minimise their time to complete admin tasks that we are responsible for as a team. Within the KPMG website there is a page that includes the services that we provide and the different types of group for each section of work. We also do volunteering with charities such as NSPCC and go to local schools careers fairs to represent KPMG and raise awareness about the business and services we offer.
I have developed my IT skills and my communication and confidence has grown.
I enjoy learning and earning at the same time and working with other young people and, of other ages. I like meeting new people when visiting other offices and building my networking skills.
The training side of my course is well organised however, I would appreciate more practical learning opportunities and develop my skills further.
All the support I need my manager is always there to help alongside others such as, my performance manager and other resources and mentors I can reach out to.
I receive a appropriate support as and when needed from my coach at BPP.
My qualification relates to my role as my assignments and projects are focused around tasks I have completed within the workplace.
There are many events such as career fairs, festivals and a variety of regular networking events including other apprentices.
Yes
KPMG are a professional reputable organisation that invest in young people and their learning and training.
I would advise others applying is that it is a big change from college and sixth form as there are long working days. Apply for as many apprentice applications as you can in advance in order to maximise your opportunities of your areas on interest.
