  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy what I do, the whole culture of the team and how I can carry out my work. Its a lot of working on my own, solving problems by myself with the training and tools I've been given, but there's always help at the end of a phone, or an engineer nearby to give help or advice.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The training for the job ids really well structured and the instructors at the training schools really know what they are teaching, there's lots of support available all the way through the training. there's a good buddy program to work through and a wide range of live jobs to train on. Only slight issue was the NVQ part, due to a mix-up with my assessors, only happened to me though

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a really good business and apprentice, there is lots of opportunity to expand and grow. there's lots of support available and no two jobs are the same, always something different. some good days and some bad, like there is everywhere. But it's also a job for life if its something for you

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Just be yourself, read what's required and while its a long progress from start to finish, its worth it in the end. Making sure you and other people are safe is the thing that should be in the forefront of your mind at all points through the process and when you go live in the job, make friends and get everyone's number, there's no problem in picking up the phone and asking for advice.
