  • I'm a Team Manager for Independent Living. Line managing two scheme managers who look after extra care schemes. Overseeing the project by monitoring budget spends and supporting my staff to deliver the best service they can for our residents. In total 90 homes.

  • Yes. Given me an insight of how to effectively manage my team. Being mindful of different learning styles and how I adapt my coaching to get the best out of my staff and support them to develop.

  • I'm finding the course really interactive and it's helping me to look at myself as a manager. Considering all aspects of management and how I can be the best I can

  • Very organised. The support I've received from my course tutor has been excellent.

  • From our training team, there's lots of encouragement and support.

  • My tutor is excellent with her support. She is really encouraging and explains things well.

  • Extremely well. It's helped me to view my own learning style and given me an insight to how my service delivery impacts on giving a great service.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • My organisation is really staff inclusive and puts measures in place to ensure staff wellbeing is a priority. Lots of things to get involved with if you chose to.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Optivo to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Optivo invests lots of time and energy to it's staff. Lots of great training to help develop people. There's no hierarchy. The directors of the organisation are approachable and welcome staff opinions. Every member of staff is considered an individual and respected.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Optivo?
  • a great organisation to work for with lots of development opportunities. It's CORE values are commendable and really does value it's staff. Fantastic organisation to work for.
