  • managing a team of 8 Income offices. Allocating work, monitoring performance and statistics. implementing coaching and training. dealing with complaints. completing 121's. Liaising with local authorities, and other departments to achieve the best outcome for residents.

  • developed existing leadership and communication skills. understanding theories around leadership, conflict resolution, finance and project management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • most of it has been enjoyable learning new skills and improving others will really benefit my team. However, some of the course work has been repetitive.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • there has been a few hiccups and some last minute changes which have meant additional work needed to be completed. But generally it has been well organised.

  • a great deal of support is giving by the company to all participants on the scheme.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Laura is always available for questions and has set up what's app group as well as having a very quick response to emails sent.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At this difficult time the skills around communication have really come in handy. As well as some of the leadership skills and theories.

  • we have social activities including meals, drinks, and quiz nights.

  • Yes

  • I would highly recommend Optivo as a good place to work. Their commitment to staff and providing training and support to them. The culture and the way we are encouraged to do progress in our careers. The salary also helps!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Optivo?
  • Read the job specification brief and really highlight your people skills, technical can be taught as companies tend to use different systems and procedures but good people skills is a must.
