  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my job role a lot as i have lots of exposure to different scenarios and sales experience. I wasn't sure what to expect but i have jumped into a big role which is very exciting however i probably expected a little more support as it sometimes feels like they forget i am new to this

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship programme doesnt seem to be very strictly structured as i feel it is quite hands off with no strict deadlines however there is lots of support when i need it. My job role and apprenticeship dont marry up perfectly well but i am adapting to make it work

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager supports me when i need it however i dont receiev a huge amount of general support. i have reached out ot a few people and now have a couple of mentors which is really useful. I have enotrs from my direct team, wider team and then outside my team so i have lots of varied support which is very beneficial. my contractor support is really good and are always there to help if i need.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I reciev support when i need it and they are very helpful however between workshops and webinars they seeem quite hands off. this is good as it improves your own time management and independance hwever i seem to be over run with my work role therefore deadlines would be good to make sure i am on track

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Personally, my qualification doesn't match my role so there isnt any support from either when trying to carry them out. I get help with my role but when it comes the the apprenticeship i find it difficult trying to map projects to my project management qualification. When it comes to the theory, I dont use any of it within my role so when it comes to key words etc i am not exposed to the knowledge in my role therefore it takes me more to learn them

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are extra curricular activities within my team and the wider team. i also feel that there have been a lot more extra curricular and team bonding activities within my team and the wider team since covid-19 as they are helping with work ethic and getting people through the difficult time. However for a large corporate company i thought there would be more team socials and away days - there arent many of these

  • 9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Yes, Unilever is a great company to work for and there are lots of opportunities. I have learnt so many new skills and i have had great exposure to lots of different working scenarios which has taught me how a business work and given me lots of experience for future roles too

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • Do your research on the company, if you get to the assessment centre make sure you are knowledgeable about the company. Also, be open minded, my first day at Unilever was very confusing as the person that employed me left 2 days before joining therefore my whole role changed however i have loved every minute of it so make sure you stay open minded if things changed
