  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Every day is different in this role - it involves admin work day-to-day, which can involve coverage reports, collating film reviews and helping with any tasks the publicists need. I get to work across new film releases as well as catalogue titles, which I love as I get to experience a range of films and I also get to help with any events, screenings and junkets for the new releases WB have.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt SO many new skills in this role. Not only office skills that come with any office-type role, but I have also learnt so much about publicity which I never knew before. I get a wide range of experience working on the events and working with exterior companies and journalists, which has enabled me to learn news skills in many different areas of work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my role at WB and am so fortunate that I can also gain a qualification from it. The apprenticeship itself is interesting and I enjoy learning through the tasks set, especially as it allows me to learn practically whilst working on the job, which is how I learn best. I would highly recommend this programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the programme's structure works best when there is set days to complete the tasks/work, which can be difficult with this job role, as at times it can be hard when the job itself goes through busy periods. However I have had good support from both the WB team as well as my mentor and having regular meetings is a great help.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive great support from the WB team, whether that is the publicity team I am direct contact with or a wider group such as HR, or fellow apprentices/interns. I have been really happy working at WB and have always felt supported by them.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my mentor and I know where to access any guidance/help if I ever need it.

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that it gives an understanding to the tasks that I may complete on the job and more of a background on why/how it should be done. Personally I believe that I have learnt more being on the job itself, so the apprenticeship works well for me as it gives the opportunity to show my work and new skills through practical pieces and tasks.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of different activities to get involved in. I have enjoyed Q&A panels, team building exercises and in-house activities for the employees to join in on, such as screenings or film promotions. As there are many apprentices/interns that also work at WB there is a good community of us who are in the same boat.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WarnerMedia to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have really enjoyed every aspect of my apprenticeship at WB. I have learnt so much from the job, as well as having a great environment to work in, with a great team of people. I wouldn't change anything about my experience here.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • Get involved in as much as you can and enjoy it - because the time will fly by!
