  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Receptionist and duty manager. I am responsible for checking guests into the hotel and departing them on leaving. I deal with all front desk questions and when on duty manager shift also deal with any complaints that may arise. Banking, fire safety checks, breakfast shift duties etc.

  • I’ve learnt to engage with guests and to handle complaints satisfactorily and have gained an insight into the business through stocks and the company co-pilot system

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love it. My tutor Mary has been fantastic and has adapted the course to meet my needs through sending workbooks as I struggle to concentrate online.

  • Very organised. Mary is very organised and shows me how far I have come and what will be the next module etc.

  • My employer is very supportive

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had extra support from Nyla who helped me refresh my mathematics and was very good. I have passed my Maths now which is a massive relief.

  • It is a reminder of what I have learned through the course which involves every aspect of the work that I do

  • Yes

  • Excellent employer and really supportive management

  • If you are a kind and conscientious individual and are willing to work as a team then it is definitely worth applying for work at Premier Inn. It is so good to have an employer that truly cares and supports staff.
