I work as a sales specialist and support within the Hybrid IT Channel organization. Meaning on a day to day basis I am supporting my aligned partner companies. To drive and accelerate HPE business and deals. This means I get involved in lots of different areas of the business however at the moment I focus in a specialist area of the technology at HPE to drive more opportunities and deals through the sales cycle.
My time at HPE so far has enabled me to learn new skills and develop existing ones, the main key skills I believe I have vastly improved are my presentation and networking skills. This has mostly been learnt through practice as this is my way to learn things the best. But having this opportunity to give presentations and network with hundreds of people has vastly improved my skills.
The apprenticeship is very generalized meaning although the training provided is useful I only practice some of what I learn making some theorized knowledge. Because of this I feel the qualification could be more tailored in helping me develop however I understand that all job roles are different even in the same industry so they have to make it somewhat understandable all round.
Yes
The reason I would recommend working at HPE to others is because of the companies values and support that I receive, they always look to drive and develop all employees to push people out of their comfort zone to develop and learn. Plus the program has helped me shape my own career path and learn new skills to drive my own knowledge further.
I would suggest to other people applying to work at Hewlett Packard Enterprise that confidence is key and knowing how to market your skills and apply them to a job is the best way to get recognition as a smart and driven individual. With this in mind I believe that by researching and finding how and where you could support business can accelerate you to being the best candidate.
