  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I've recently become an Aftersales Marketing Assistant after being in IT Support and a Lead Generation and Website Apprentice. Over the two years I've been with Vauxhall I've been given good responsibility and trust. I've had the opportunity to be in charge of the website running and manage lead feeds daily. I've also had to run reports and solve users questions.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I couldn't stress enough how many valuable skills I've learnt throughout the apprenticeship, from communication skills to priority planning and program knowledge. I've learnt a lot of good transferable skills I will be able to take forward in whatever I do.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Stellantis?
  • I enjoy the apprenticeship more than i thought i would. Real world work and the teams I've worked with have been outstanding. The company has clear goals and i'm proud to be a part of it.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I have good recognition from my manager and company as a whole. I feel like the apprenticeship scheme is really looked into. Vauxhall is a massive business so although the apprentices are looked into we're not valued as highly as others. I think this is improving though.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We have meetings every month to get updates, we have almost an open door policy where we can voice opinions and get support. With managers we have support with work whenever needed, all managers are proactive in helping you learn as much as possible.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Although the wage is better than the minimum rate for apprenticeships, the salary doesn't suit my needs perfectly, I am pretty bound to living at home at a time i'm looking to possibly move out. Taking into consideration the qualifications we're getting through the scheme, I guess it is pretty competitive.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are activities and events that go on throughout the years, there isn't any clubs that i've joined personally, but i do play football on a Tuesday and Friday with other employees from the company. This is good as it takes everyone from a high level down to an apprentice. Our Managing Director even played once!

  • 9. Would you recommend Stellantis to a friend?

  • 9b. Why?
